Ng’endo Mukii - Kenya/UK – 2012 - 7min
Multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker Ngendo Mukii from Kenya and her film YELLOW FEVER is a wonderful experimental multimedia meditation about the race and identity. She chose a very popular practice among African women of skin bleaching as the topic of her multidimensional art film work. Ng'endo treats the somewhat uncomfortable subject with passion and great thoughtfulness.
“Skin and body are often distorted into a topographical division between reality and illusion.” - Ng’endo Mukii
