Konstantin Lopushansky
Born: 12 June 1947 in Dniepropetrovsk, Ukraine
Konstantin Lopouchanski was born on June 12, 1947 in Dniepropetrovsk. In 1970, he finished violiln studies at the Academy of Kazan. Since 1973 till 1975, he initially teached music at the Academy of Kazan then in Leningrad (Saint Petersburg) and at the same time he worked on the thesis of History of Art. In 1978, he obtained his diploma from the Higher Courses of Script Writers and Directors under the direction of E. Lotianou. He was working with and learning from Andrei Tarkovski during the production of Stalker. His film Dead Man's Letters won the Best First Film price at the Moscow Film Festival in 1987.
